Return to the era of romantic riverboats on a grand adventure filled with entertainment, history, and the beauty of the Mississippi River.

Day 1 – LeClaire, IA – Machine Shed Restaurant – Our motorcoach heads west through the fertile farmlands of Indiana and Illinois into Iowa. Tonight, we enjoy a delicious, included dinner at the fascinating Machine Shed Restaurant. We overnight in LeClaire.

Day 2 – Cruising the Mississippi River – LeClaire to Dubuque, IA – This morning, we take a step back in time we board the Riverboat Twilight, a stunningly recreated Victorian riverboat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included on board, as well as a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. Our full-day boat cruise aboard the Twilight takes us through a variety of picturesque scenery. There are three decks with comfortable dining salons and sundecks with lounge chairs for those who wish to sightsee or snooze in the sun. You can browse the gift shop, play bingo, relax on the promenade deck, and enjoy the delightful folk entertainers on board. Our riverboat docks in Dubuque where we are transported to our hotel for our overnight accommodations.

Day 3 – Dubuque – Twilight cruise – After an included breakfast, the morning will be free to enjoy optional activities in the Dubuque area. You can check out the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, grab a coffee and shop in historic downtown or stroll the well-known riverwalk. Continuous shuttle transportation to many of the activities will depart from the main lobby of the hotel. At noon, we reboard the Twilight to retrace our route on the mighty Mississippi to LeClaire. Lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and dinner are served on the return trip. We overnight in LeClaire.

Day 4 – Home – After an included breakfast, we leave behind the river and board our motorcoach to head home, reveling in the history we have “relived.”
